Lu-Cal IQF freezers are manufactured in a range of six standard sizes and two freeze-coil arrangements that cover the most popular freezing requirements. For larger capacities, a custom designed unit can be designed and manufactured to meet this requirement just as cost effectively.

In-Line-Coil Freezing Systems
Our popular in-line-coil freezing systems have the freeze coils located between the air plenum sections and the conveyor assembly. Thus requiring a minimum of plant floor space.
Side-Coil Freezing Systems
Our new side-coil systems have the freeze coils mounted to the sides of the air plenum sections. Thus, completely eliminating the possibility of the product getting into the coils or the defrost water getting onto the centrifugal fans.
Available Belt Systems
Two-Belt System A two-belt system (called pre-cool and freeze) offers the most flexible operation and the most precise freezing control for large capacity freezing of different types of products. Each belt is variable speed with each belt having it’s own speed controller (VFD) located in the Motor Control Center (MCC). Crust freezing (glazing) occurs on the first belt (pre-cool) where the product is cooled to the product’s freezing temperature. Then the product is transferred to the 2nd (freeze belt) where the product is “fluidized” and frozen to 0°F (or lower). The slower speed of the “freeze belt allows the product to have a “deep bed”. A/C driven thumpers are generally provided in the pre-cool section to agitate the product. That, along with a balanced airflow will ensure a quality, cluster free frozen product. Single Belt System A single belt system is best for especially delicate products, which could be damaged by the “product drop” on a two (2)-belt system. A single belt system, with a variable speed belt, offers the flexibility of freezing different types of products.
